Jelena Vilotijevic
Jelena is the head of the Women’s Ministry at the student organisation EUS Montenegro (IFES). Her time is spent mentoring young women, leading Bible studies, and giving talks, as well as helping to run camps, mission weeks, retreats, and women’s brunches.
She uses her Biblical counselling skills and gifting in drama and sport as ways to share the gospel; she also regularly utilises skills she developed while working as a ministry trainee at St Michael’s, such as running Alpha courses and kids’ programmes.
June 2026 Update
Claire Leslie had the privilege of visiting Jelena in Niksic in May 2026, staying in her home, meeting some of her family and attending church with her. If you’d like to hear more about her trip, please contact her directly. See her prayer requests below!

Praise points
Praise God for Jelena’s hard work and faithful witness. Her talk at a recent regional conference, and the mission weeks at universities, went well.
Praise God for the recent Women’s Brunch, for one woman in particular who has made a commitment to Jesus recently, after 10 years of bible study with Jelena.
Praise God for one of Jelena’s previous mentees who is working on a translation of the New Testament into their language.
Praise God that Jelena’s nephews and nieces love hearing the Bible stories and ask her lots of questions
Praise God that the women’s retreat last year was popular, and that a wider team is forming to make this an annual event
