Dan & Sarah Cook

Dan is vicar of Grace Church, a recent church plant part of the Antioch Network, in the Greater Manchester area. He is married to Sarah and their sons are Micah, Ezra, and Zachary.

At Grace Church, Dan & Sarah are sharing the gospel and raising up local leaders on Brooklands estate, an area of high social need. Their church is growing and now 40-50 people meet together on a Sunday. They love where they live and want to see the people there released from poverty, addiction, abusive relationships, and hopelessness, instead finding hope and fullness of life in Jesus.

  • Praise God!

    • they have seen God breaking through in the lives of several people who come to their church on and off

    • they are seeing non-Christians who are thirsty for God’s word coming to their Bible studies, reading Luke’s gospel and the Bible, and asking questions about faith

    • a new leader has been appointed for their church network

    Please pray for:

    • the families and individuals at their church — many face big challenges in their daily lives

    • new Alpha course starting next week

    • plans to plant new churches around Manchester and, in particular, that God would call the right leaders for those new churches

    • for Dan and Sarah’s kids, Micah, Ezra, and Zachary, that they would continue to grow in the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ. And that he would strengthen them to cope with what is, at times, a difficult school environment with some really challenging behaviour from their classmates

    • for Sarah, that she would shine for Jesus while she works at the BBC and have wisdom about how to focus her time across family, church, friends, and work demands
